Thinning: What Business Indicates
As a part of the research theme Thinning Strelka’s students studied a variety of issues in development of the Russian regions including the problems of single-industry towns and agricultural areas, the challenges of tourism infrastructure, ecology and summer country houses. During their study students realized that one of the most accurate indicators of the area’s development was the development of the local business. Migration, accessibility, transport and social problems directly influence companies in the area. To discuss this topic in more detail the students have invited three journalists, Nikolai Kononov, Mikhail Kozyrev and Anna Sokolov, who mostly write about our regions and regional businesses.
